T-BALL
T-Ball is an instructional division (i.e., no scores are kept, no results count in the standings, no umpires, and no balls/strikes; batter hits off a batting T).
The aim of play in this division is to introduce youths (5 to 7 years old) to baseball.
RULES
- The kids must have FUN!
- Co-ed (girls and boys) can play.
- Beginners welcomed.
- Everyone plays!
- No score keeping.
- No balls or strikes.
- No umpires.
- Home team gets to choose their dugout side (e.g., right side/first base side or left side/third base side).
- A coach and assistants are assigned by the League to each team.
- Coaches for both teams are responsible to supervise play.
- Players are assigned by the League.
- Games schedules are assigned by the League.
- There are a minimum of five players on each team.
- There is an away team (bats first, at the top of each inning) and a home team (bats last, at the bottom of an inning).
- There are no maximum innings per game, rather there is a time limit (refer to the schedule tab for T-Ball for details).
- Coaches for each team decide batters lineup.
- All players bat at least one time per half inning.
- The coach is responsible to guide batter (but not limited) during their time at bat: how to bat, where the player should stand, where to run when the ball is it hit and to place baseball on the batting T.
- After every player on the team has batted, does the half inning end. Then the fielding team takes their turn at bat.
- Teams on the field are supervised by their coaches who should be on the field at all times.
- Coaches in the field should guide their players on how to wear their gloves, where to stand, how to make an out when the ball is hit to them and etc.
- At the end of the allotted team for a T Ball game, both teams should return to their dugouts.
- Opposing coaches should line up their players and have their players shake the hands of the opposing team. Sportsmanship is a must!
