T-BALL

T-Ball (ages 5 - 7 years old): This a developmental division. The fundamentals (hitting, base running, fielding, and the rules) of the game are introduced to a young player. There is no pitching, rather a player (batter) hits off a “T” (a stationary device whereby a baseball rests until hit). Teams play against each other but all games are “Friendlies” (i.e., no games count in the standings). Everyone bats and plays. There are no set innings for a game rather everyone plays within a certain allotted time period. The emphasis it to teach players the basics of the game.
